Mr. Man

Hey mister Man
I really do think you should go now
I really don't want to be with you,
You know, so go now.

Hey mister Man
You've got to leave
I don't believe you
Just understand me

You've been here for a long time, so move on
Find yourself a new place, where you belong

Hey mister Man
You've got to leave
I don't believe you
Just understand me (2x)

Hey mister Man (Go now...)
Hey mister Man (Go now...)

It's time for you to understand
Forget about it Mr. Man
It's time for you to understand
Forget about it Mr. Man
Oh, Oh, Oh, go mr. Man
Oh, oh, oh, go now (2x)

Don't be a Loverboy

How to spot a Loverboy:

Does he have expensive taste?
An expensive car, motor or moped?
Lots of money and you don't know where it's coming from?
Perhaps drugs or gun-running?
Rumours about his profession and activities?
Did you receive a mobile phone from him?
Gives you expensive gifts regularly?
Takes you to fancy and extravagant places?
Been to the red light district with him?
Has he friends of the same colour and description?
Puts down your parents, relatives and friends?
What kind of work does he do?

Well, hello

Well, hello
it`s nice to see you again
It`s been a long time ago since we met
I can`t forget what`s happened before
Still your fingertips are touching my soul
When you did come back to me
I saw you have changed,
but I already knew before
You wanna see me again
but I can`t you know that,
I have changed also, also,
I have changed

Well, hello
it`s so nice to see you too
Yes it is a long time ago since we met
I was very busy with myself
I have a good job,
and I bought a brand new car
There was less time to think
about what`s happened before
I had so many things to do
It is very nice to see you back after all
But I think I have changed also, also,
I have changed

Well, hello
Hello, how are you I`m fine
Thank you for asking
And you, how are you
I`m fine, by the way the weather is nice today
Well good-bye
Good-bye, good-bye...

Friday the 13th of July

I had some luck last week;
I found a copy of Surya Das' book
called Awakening the Buddhist Heart.
It was among cheap romantic novels.
I had tried to read his book
Awakening the Buddha Within,
but I never finished it.
I wonder if he is enlightened at all;
I wonder if there is truth at all.
Well, at least there is light;
that's for sure and all we need.
Perhaps it depends on what you mean
by the word and whether anyone
can live by his own words and ideas.
Man shall not live by bread alone
but by every word from God's mouth.
But how preposterous to say
that anyone can know God's word.
Never mind, it's just an idea.
Whether by oracle or by prophecy,
no one can be sure if it is true.
I mean that we have fallen short
of the glory of God, whoever he is.
Saint or sinner, everyone is his child;
I don't care what Jesus or Paul said.
But so much for all that, Carnalito.
I saw this film again Blood in, Blood out;
It was bloody gory and full of shit.
But I love the Latin accent;
it was kinda pretty and funny.
I saw a comedy too of three presidents
and they are funny as well, pussy.
Just trying to be funny, I'm sorry.
Well, I'm just a human being
and so are presidents and you.
I found some little trees growing
out of my garden tiles and well,
I made some bonsai out of them,
and hoped they'd live long enough.
I rescued some old wooden chairs
from the incinerator; I love company.
I took a good bath and recycled the water;
I used the bluish fluid to flush de WC.
I tried the cheapest brand of everything,
trying to economize; I guess I'm cheap.
I had told a friend it's better
to live like a miser in a castle;
at least you won't die from the cold.
We eat too much and buy too many
things we don't really need.
So what else did I do today?

The Stench called ENLIGHTENMENT

There is no such thing as enlightenment.
That is enlightenment.

The Buddha was not enlightened.
Nobody is enlightened.
This is enlightenment.

I wanted to tell some people
about an observation I had.
It wasn't really serious or funny.
It was just an observation.
But they told me to shut up
and have a piece of cake from Jan
who is 61 years old today
and planning to retire next year.
Of course, I don't mind having one
so I ate my cake and listened
to these two people trying hard
to be themselves, being funny.
It suddenly came to me
that the two were drunk
but I don't smell or see alcohol.
So I told them what I thought.
That it wasn't such a bad idea
to be drunk without drinking.
To be feeling good and happy
without having to spend money.
And not being fired for being drunk
at the job and being funny.
Without showing any annoyance,
they told me to start moving
and do my assigned task
while they made the preparations.
That was fine with me.
So I hastened to the plant
to disconnect my instrument.
I felt they must be forgetting
something but I wasn't sure.
Anyway, I carried on my work.
I was ready to leave at noon
when my chief stopped me
and asked if he could have a word.
He told me this was the second time
he warned me about not making
funny remarks or jokes at work.
Already I knew what had happened.
These two guys at the control panel
must have made some mistake
it almost tripped a machine.
And they were blaming me.
Well, I tried to protest
but my boss wouldn't listen.
He wouldn't listen to anybody.
He heard what he wanted to hear
and said what he wanted to say.
He called my manager to complain.
We'll see about that next week.
